- Das Schwa -based in Seattle, Wa
Inspiration for Das Schwa is found in the space between what
our senses detect. Pairing together upright bass (Geoff Larson)
and vibraphone (Justin Sorensen), it exists to examine the
subtlety’s in our life. It asks both listener and performer to slow
down, think, reflect and breathe. Where you are in this exact
moment is the precise right place you are supposed to be. The
music is deliberate in development but rich with Schwa, always
searching for a new and creative way to bring to light the content
that resides between what our ears initially hear.
The group will often perform as a trio with various drummers from the NW as well as add soloists when the venue or mood calls for it.
